CARLOS WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES ENDORSEMENT OF KRISTIN GISLESON PALMER

NEW ORLEANS CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT C

Carlos Williams (former candidate for City Council District C) remains committed to working for safer neighborhoods, job development, eliminating blight and ensuring all children have a quality education.  That is why he will announce today his endorsement of Kristin Gisleson Palmer for City Council District C.


“One candidate has worked diligently in the rebuilding of the city of New Orleans and we need Kristin Palmer on the City Council for District C.” said Williams, a democrat.  “Kristin has a proven track record of uniting people toward a common purpose and she cares about the quality of life in our neighborhoods.  Kristin will represent all the issues I believe in, including fiscal responsibility, safe streets, elimination of blight and fair opportunities for all citizens.  Please join me in voting for Kristin Palmer on February 6″

Carlos Williams, a devoted father of six, played football at Southern University in Baton Rouge where he majored in Pre-Law and minored in Business.  He is an alumnus of Walter L. Cohen Senior High School.   As a former Orleans Parish Deputy Sherriff Carlos played a vital role in the rehabilitation of inmates and currently advocates inmate education and productivity of life after incarceration.

New Orleans City Council District C includes Algiers, Bywater, Esplanade Ridge, French Quarter, Marigny, St. Roch, Treme’, and parts of Faubourg St.John.

The election will be held February 6 and early voting is January 23 - 30, 2010.
